On March 28, 2025, the “International conference on Aging and Oxidative stress” hosted by the Health Food Society of Taiwan was held at the Howard Civil Service International House in Taipei. Centered on the theme of Aging and Oxidative Stress, the event focused on the global trend of healthy aging and welcomed participation from scholars, research institutions, and health food industry partners worldwide. As a member of the society, Vedan Biotech was invited to demostrate its latest functional ingredient, Chlorich® AgeDefy, for healthy aging, and highlighting the comprehensive strength from scientific R&D and clinical validation to application development of Vedan Biotech.

At the event, Vedan Biotech focused on the theme “Healthy Aging with Science-Backed Protection” and presented Chlorich® AgeDefy, a flagship ingredient developed to support three major functions: mental clarity, physical agility, and youthful appearance, which addressing the holistic needs of mature consumers in both cognitive and physical wellness. Developed through a combination of nutritional science and functional botanical extracts, the ingredient attracted attention from industry experts and researchers, who expressed high degree of interest in its potential for promoting health and multi-function.

Many graduate students expressed curiosity about functional ingredients in health and nutrition applications, engaging in lively Q&A sessions. It is a reflection of growing professional and academic interest in the next generation of health science.

The event also welcomed guests of honor, Dr. Min-Hsiung Pan, President of the Taiwan Society of Health Food; Professor Ming-Fu Wang from Honorary Chair of the Department of Food & Nutrition at Providence University; and Dr. Kuo-Chin Yen from President of the Taiwan Association for Food Science and Technology. They visited the Vedan Biotech booth, engaged in insightful discussions with the team, and recognized the company’s long-standing dedication to ingredient development and scientific innovation.

The exhibition also opened up opportunities to potential collaboration. Representatives from academic institutions expressed interest in Nattoone’s functions and its application technologies, proposing joint research opportunities. Meanwhile, food manufacturers showed strong interest in chlorella extract, requesting samples, COAs, and efficacy documentation, which can be groundwork for future product development.

Numerous graduate students and industry experts visited and asked about the ingredient offerings, which reflecting strong interest from both academic and market perspectives.
